well, poo.

4 days in and i've already missed a day of daily posting.  boo.

i feel i have to make it up to you.  so today's going to be a two-for-one...one relatively meaningful, well thought out post and one fun little giveaway (my first!).

i'll get the well thought out post up later today.  in the meantime, here's the 411 about my very first giveaway:

what you could win:

a $20 Amazon gift card
(sent via e-mail)

how to enter (up to 3 times!):

1. leave a comment telling me what you'll do with your newfound loot;
2. follow my blog and leave me a comment telling me you're doing so; and
3. read through my previous posts and tell me which is your favorite!

contest ends FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8th at 9pm.  winner will be chosen by Random.org and will be announced no later than Sunday, October 10th. (it's shaping up to be a busy weekend already!)

good luck!!

I will apply it to the $200 co-pay I have to pay next week at the dentist for my little guy. Again. Ugh.

I'm now following your blog and the sept 12th post is my favorite. Because I can soooo identify with it. Short and basic but says so much. Ha ha ha

I will take my Mother to lunch for helping me out with my kids since my surgery.

Jacqueline in Atlanta said...

I would love to spend it on myself, because I adore books, but I have two kiddos in college now, so it will get spent on next semester's textbooks. Amazon is a great place for them to buy their books - way better than the school bookstore which is like paying for a house!!

Thanks for having the giveaway!

And I am with Sherri about the Sept 12 post. Only, in my case the crying baby should be substituted with a whining three year old. Sigh.

I would probably buy some games and donate them to childs play in all honestly. I have enough stuff around the house, and I know kids stuck in hospitals would adore having a new game to play.

I'm browsing through your blog... I see this post about Octoberfest--gasp! That sounds like fun. I actually did something similar to that back in March--but I was all by myself, with no other supporting blogs. I got lots of comments that month though.

Keep up the good work and you'll be able to actually make it through the month, posting each day... I did it!

By the way, you haven't posted today... time is ticking. *points to wristwatch*
